Story
I am running for a cause close to my heart. My mum died at a very young age of bowel cancer, and my dad died of lung cancer in February of this year, he fought very hard but in only 5 weeks he lost his courageous fight. I am running for my mum and dad, and my family and everyone else who has lost a loved one from this insidious disease. Wouldn't it be nice to live in a world without cancer? Well this is my way of contributing to that cause.
On August 5th, I will be sweating it out and doing my best (i.e. finishing the race I don't care about the time) to run the Brisbane Marathon (42km of blood, sweat and tears). Please help me raise some money for a great cause. Any contribution is welcome however great or small....it all adds up......!! Thank you xoxo
ALL donations you give go directly to charity, so click on DONATE NOW!
Thank you for your support and helping to make a difference!
Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF)
At Australian Cancer Research Foundation, we know that only brilliant ideas can tackle something as big as cancer. That is why since 1984, we have given scientists the technology, equipment and infrastructure they need for pioneering research.
From small vaccines to big machines our funding has supported some of the biggest outcomes in cancer research, across Australia. ACRF supporters have backed landmark projects such as; the development of the world’s first cancer vaccine (for cervical cancer), the establishment of a precision medicine program working towards the goal of zero deaths from childhood cancer and the creation of the innovative MRI-Linac which will improve patient outcomes and reduce the trauma associated with radiation therapy.
By funding research that seeks to progress and transform the way we prevent, detect and treat ALL cancers, we are committed to our vision of one day reaching a world without cancer.
